YSR Housing Scheme 2020 was launched in the state by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on 12 July 2019. Through this housing scheme, houses will be given to a citizen of poor families falling under the APL/BPL category. The main objective of the Andhra Pradesh Government is to provide houses to poor people. The scheme was announced by Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Shri B. Rajendranath Reddy in his 1st state budget of the YSR government under the YSR Housing Scheme 2020. Under this scheme, the decision of providing houses to the poor was first decided in the month of May but seeing the coronavirus outbreak, it has been extended by the government till 08 July 2020. The Chief Minister of the state has announced reverse tendering of houses being built in urban and rural areas. 1.5 million new houses will be built for the people of Visakhapatnam, Kurnool and Nellore districts. As per the information, these houses will include a bedroom, kitchen, living room, toilet, and veranda without compromising the quality of construction materials. YSR Housing Scheme is named after his father YS Rajshekhara Reddy. This scheme was previously known as NTR Housing Scheme. The Andhra Pradesh Government allocated Rs 2280 crores for the scheme. This housing scheme is for EWS/MIG/LIG categories people of the state who don’t have their own home and couldn’t afford to construct their own house.

One of the best schemes launched by Andhra Pradesh CM as a part of the Navaratnalu program. The main objective of the YSR housing scheme is to bring dignity and improve the living conditions of every person from the weaker section. The state government and central government collaborate together to assist every BPL family financially and technically in constructing permanent pucca houses.

YSR Urban Housing Scheme(PMAY-Urban/Rural)

YSR Urban Housing Scheme is an initiative from the Jagan government along the central government to build pucca houses for each and every one belonging to poor, middle- income and lower-income sections in the Andhra Pradesh state.

YSR Economic Weaker Sections Housing scheme

The main goal of this YS Housing Scheme is to develop urban areas of Andhra Pradesh by the year 2022. To initiate and implement the YSR Gruha Vasathi scheme successfully, the central government has issued Rs.5000 crores and the Andhra Pradesh Government has stationed Rs.1000 crores.

PMAY – YSR Gramin Housing Scheme

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana along with the YSR Housing Scheme 2020 collaborated jointly to develop the rural areas of the AP state. As per this housing scheme, both central and state governments will jointly make efforts for the development of rural areas.

Sometimes while filling the form, type mistakes may be occurring resulting in wrong data entry, or any other incorrect information due to lack of knowledge. Andhra Pradesh Housing Schemes Update

On 6th of June 2020, Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said that the state government aims to complete the construction of 30 lakh houses for the poor across the state in five years. Addressing the media, the FM said that the state government went with land acquisition for housing in a transparent manner as per the Land Acquisition Act and charged with the opposition of making false claims.

On the 7th of June 2020, the Andhra Pradesh government is getting ready to launch its ambitious housing scheme in August. The housing scheme for the poor in the state on track. Construction of 15 lakh houses, across all 13 districts of the state, would be taken up in the 1st phase. This would start the distribution of 27 lakh house sites to the poor on July 8. Under this scheme, govt is planning to give two cents of land (96 sq yards) to 27 lakh women in the state.
